nando’s restaurant

The main inspiration that I’m using in my thesis (almost finished – soon I will share it with you!), are the fairs and street markets. Today, I came across with this restaurant in the uk which uses exactly this inspiration! I found the result of this project, which focused more specifically at South African markets, very interesting and unexpected. Colored pending lamps, proposed in a huge number, ended up generating the same “controlled chaos” so typical of these markets. This spirit was even more amplified by the mix of colorful prints and textures used in the futons and by combining typical elements in the walls. Finally, the furniture was proposed with demolition wood and metal chairs, completing the spirit of the restaurant!
