Viva Barcelona!

The highlight of this apartment in Barcelona, proposed by Laura Bonell, is the original hydraulic tiles! The pieces just gorgeous and full of history were discovered in excellent conditions during renovation work, since they were placed under a ceramic floor over the past years. When they were discovered, the tiles have become the main concept of the project and were displaced and positioned in order to emphasize the main areas of the apartment. To complete other spaces and make the finishing between the different floors, pieces of wood were employed (very elegantly, in our opinion!). Besides the floor, another original element that was kept was the ceiling in wood, all painted in white to act as a neutral background to the apartment. Simple and charming solutions, that do take advantage of the history of the property, are the reasons why we just loved this design… Viva Barcelona!
